Authors' Guidelines for PANACEA, the Medical Research Journal of RLKU Medical and Dental College

Introduction

PANACEA, the medical research journal of RLKU Medical and Dental College, is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that aims to publish high-quality, original research articles in the field of medicine and dentistry. As a respected platform for medical research, we invite authors to submit their work for consideration. To ensure the integrity and quality of our publications, we have established the following guidelines for authors.

Author Responsibilities
As an author, you are responsible for:
Originality and Plagiarism: Ensuring that your work is original and does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. Any instances of plagiarism will be thoroughly investigated and may result in rejection of the manuscript.
Accuracy and Validity: Verifying the accuracy and validity of your research, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
Confidentiality: Maintaining the confidentiality of patient information and adhering to the principles of informed consent.
Disclosure: Disclosing any conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, that may have influenced your research.
Authorship: Ensuring that all authors have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.
Author Rights
As an author, you have the right to:
Retain Copyright: Retain the copyright to your work, with the understanding that PANACEA has the right to publish and distribute your article.
Access and Share: Access and share your published article, provided that you acknowledge the original publication in PANACEA.
Receive Feedback: Receive feedback and comments from peer reviewers and editors, which will be used to improve the quality of your manuscript.
Text Organization
Manuscripts submitted to PANACEA should be organized as follows:
Title Page: Include the title of the article, authors' names and affiliations, and contact information for the corresponding author.
Abstract: Provide a concise summary (250-300 words) of the research, including background, methods, results, and conclusions.
Introduction: Introduce the research question, provide context, and clearly state the objectives of the study.
Methods: Describe the study design, data collection and analysis methods, and any statistical techniques used.
Results: Present the findings, including any tables, figures, or images.
Discussion: Interpret the results, discuss the implications, and highlight the limitations of the study.
Conclusion: Summarize the main findings and suggest avenues for future research.
References: List all sources cited in the manuscript, following the Vancouver referencing style.
Appendices: Include any supplementary materials, such as raw data or extra figures, that may be of interest to readers.
Authorship Criteria
To be eligible for authorship, an individual must have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript preparation, including:
Conception and Design: Contributed to the conceptualization and design of the study.
Data Collection and Analysis: Participated in data collection, analysis, or interpretation.
Manuscript Preparation: Contributed to the writing, editing, or revision of the manuscript.
Final Approval: Given final approval of the version to be published.
Submission Guidelines
To submit your manuscript to PANACEA, please follow these steps:
Register: Register as an author on our online submission platform.
Prepare Manuscript: Prepare your manuscript according to the guidelines above.
Upload Manuscript: Upload your manuscript, including all required files and supplementary materials.
Submit: Submit your manuscript for review.
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to PANACEA undergo a rigorous peer review process, which involves:
Initial Review: An initial review by the editorial team to assess the manuscript's suitability for publication.
Peer Review: Review by at least two independent peer reviewers, who provide feedback on the manuscript's quality, validity, and relevance.
Revision and Resubmission: Authors are given the opportunity to revise and resubmit their manuscript, based on the feedback received.
Final Decision: A final decision on publication is made by the editorial team, based on the revised manuscript and peer reviewer feedback.
